According to Al-Arabiya.net, for the first time in Saudi Arabia, women are also being given opportunities for military employment, in this regard, the first soldier in the Saudi Navy, Rabi bint Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi, has been recruited.
She expressed her feelings on this occasion. said that the impossible dream has become a reality today, after getting the honour of joining the military service and wearing the military uniform, I cannot express my feelings of happiness and pride in words, today I wear the uniform of the country with great pride. And I feel like I'm flying with joy.
Rabbi Bint Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi said that my family belonging to the army also motivated me to join the army and I was ready to do everything to wear this military uniform and that is the reason why I also accepted to drop my bachelor's degree and submitted my high school diploma for the job and when I received the message saying 'Congratulations on your honour to join the Royal Saudi Naval Forces' I could not describe it. How happy I felt at the time.
"My childhood was spent in the military city of Tabuk as most of my uncles and maternal uncles were military officers, so it was always a dream for us to join the army and as soon as women joined the military sector,"
She said.I came to Riyadh from Eastern Province but at that time I was not so hopeful that I will be recruited into the army but after persistence and struggle with a repeated applications I was finally accepted into the army which was a big honour for me. It is a matter of pride and an indescribable feeling.
