According to the details, while addressing the event organized in Islamabad under the title of 'Smartphone for All', Federal Minister for Information Technology Aminul Haque said that under the Smart Phone for All scheme, every person will get any mobile phone on payment of 20 to 30 per cent. No collateral or paperwork will be required to get the smartphones in instalments but only the ID card will be able to get the mobile phone.
He said that through this scheme, smartphones worth Rs 10,000 to Rs 100,000 can be purchased in instalments of 3 to 12 months, but if the instalments are not paid by an individual, the phone will be locked.
After which it will not be used anywhere in the world, the scheme aims to bring smartphones to the common man and bring small entrepreneurs to e-commerce.
The federal minister said that more than 70 projects worth 65 billion rupees are in progress for connectivity facilities. Mobile phones came to Pakistan in 1989, but in the past, no government of Pakistan thought of making the mobile phone in the country, but we are working on Maidan Pakistan.
